It’s not just a good band or a great band, The Ohio State University Marching Band is the “TBDBITL, The Best Damn Band in the Land”, a tradition at Ohio State. Look it up in Wikepedia!
According to the OSU Marching Band’s own website the band which has been around since 1878 is known by their fans as the The Best Damn Band in The Land (or TBDBITL.)
If it’s the best in the land it is certainly is the best in Columbus. Even this transplanted Wisconsin Badger has got to admit the OSU Marching Band is the Best. That Script Ohio thing is cool beans.
Wikepedia says:
“During Script Ohio, the band is led through the curves of the word, literally spelling it out before your eyes, while playing the famous march Le Regiment de Sambre et Meuse.”
According to Wikepedia, The OSU Marching Band is the largest all brass band in the world.
