Harry when I make it over to Huber Heights I will track down your store! Thanks for the comment and the background.

I want a Brown Betty Teapot now. Never heard of it before.

It's a small world.

Hi Maureen. What a surprise to see your blog while I was searching Cwmgwrach on the web. I am from the village, but emigrated to the States in1969 and moved to Dayton, Ohio from Detroit in 1971.
You may be interested to know that I own a British store in Huber Heights, north of Dayton called Wise Choice British Foods, Gifts & Candies. Wise being an acronym for Wales, Ireland, Scotland & England.
Another point of interest, Wise Choice was honoured to be chosen by Warner Brothers Studios to provide British Foods and Gift items as props for their October 10, 2008 release of Body of Lies starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe.
Cwmgwrach, Valley of the Witches was a small mining village of approximately 2500 residents situated in the Vale of Neath, S.Wales. Today most of the mines are closed and the fabric of the village I was brought up in has drastically changed. I and my four sisters started emigrating to the States in 1947 when my eldest sister became a war bride and nencouraged the rest of us to better our lives here in the States.
Come visit our store in Huber Heights and be greeted with a true warm British Welcome.
