Port Columbus - When pigs fly…

maureen_pig_group_fly_mw.gif When pigs fly they fly out of Port Columbus on Skybus:

“The inaugural flying pig flight departed today from Port Columbus International Airport in Columbus, OH. More than 100 passengers and airline employees — sporting piggy snouts and hats — were hamming it up on the tarmac atop a VIP pink piggy carpet to board the plane.” according to CNNMoney.com in Capital One Makes Pigs Fly!

A Skybus plane is painted as a pig? A piggie bank? It is to promote Capital Ones Money Market Accounts and reward savvy savers.

Flightstory an Aviation Blog has photos of the Skybus plane.

    That’s amazing.

When SouthWest was painting all their planes, they calculated the weight of the paint and the additional fuel costs, then discontinued it. That was years ago when gas was well under a buck a gallon. Guess Capital One is footing the bill for this. Good advertising idea.

Of course, it might not have been Southwest, but you get the point…

    Thanks!

There was a story about Skybus on the 11:00 news last night but it was about dissatisfied customers not pigs on planes.

    Thanks I get the point.
