Market Reports

Graph showing inventory and sales for Upper Arlington for 15 months ending June 2007

Visit Discover Columbus Market Reports  if you like graphs and tables of data.  If graphs and data bores the heck out of you by all means don’t bother…  Graphs and data is not ALL that is on Discover Columbus now by any means.  There are cartoons and cows and coming events on that site as well.

Market Reports -  The graph above is Upper Arlington sales and inventory (homes for sale and sold for the 15 months ending June 2007.)  If you click on the graph it will get larger.  The red line is homes pended (under contract)  by month.

The light green bars are the homes for sale.  The dark green bars are the homes that sold in a given month.   Homes are single family homes and condominium homes.

Discover Columbus:  I posted Market Reports on Discover Columbus on and off for awhile after taking a class about how to create and use the tables and graphs from TrendGraphix.

The Market Reports from TrendGraphix are only available in the Columbus area from Real Living HER agents.  The data comes from the Columbus Board of REALTORS® MLS (multiple listing service.)

ActiveRain: I started doing Market Reports on my ActiveRain Blog but someone in my market, took exception to that.  “No fair…” and “she’s just doing it for points” were some of the cry babies response.  I am number one in points in the area, that is why I am featured on ActiveRain when you open it up.  I posted the market reports for buyers and sellers.  I think it is good info, not everyone likes charts and graphs but some people do.

I continued to post the entries on ActiveRain for a couple of months but after very aggresive harassment and dirty tricks from another ActiveRain member.  I decided to move the TrendGraphix market reports back to Discover Columbus.

You can still find my oooooooooooooold market reports on ActiveRain.  I hear from reporters and economists looking for updates for the Central Ohio market  I send them to my Discover Columbus site for updates.  It saddens me that Discover Columbus a RealTownBlogs.com product performs so poorly in the search engines that reporters and economists (people who do research for a living ) can’t find the Market Reports on Discover Columbus.

ColumbusBestBlog.com: I have tried to post the Market Reports here on ColumbusBestBlog but the tables from TrendGraphix are too wide and I am too dumb.  It is good to have 15 months to look at I believe.   Besides…there is no way for me to create the graphs for 12 months on TrendGraphix.  It is a lot of work to remove three columns from the tables or to adjust the descriptions of the cells to make them small enough to fit on this site.  I’ve done it but I think you really need 15 months of data to see how an area is doing.   So until I get smarter about html and how to change the tables  to fit on ColumbusBestBlog.com or go to a wider format here…  please visit Discover Columbus for Market Reports on Central Ohio real estate.
