Thanks for the comment Tania… I am not sure I am the one to do the rest of the house… Douglas in Florida (and others ) are the pros on this. I’ll keep an eye on it and try to remember to share via ColumbusBestBlog.com if I see more.

I think the first ” Buy a water filtration system. Say no to expensive bottled water. ” and the third “Use less single-serve or single-use products… these products are more than 50% packaging. ” are related, I think that is the point about filtering water at home, less packaging that needs to be recycled.

It looks like Douglas may be doing a series on ActiveRain with solutions for different parts of the house, he did yards, xeriscaping since he wrote about kitchens, a big deal in areas that don’t get a lot of rain…. like Albuquerque…

That is an awesome list! Great ideas, I actually heard that bottled water causes global warming and pollution because of having to transport the bottles.

Tiffany the woman who cut my hair on Friday lives in Marion and commutes to the Polaris Area (far northside of Columbus in southern Delaware County.) I think she said four of them commute from Marion (able to car pool which is good.) The owner of the franchise is from Marion.

She said it was a 45 minute drive, which makes sense.

I am not real green but I am trying to learn. Do you know Tina of GreenBuckeye? Thanks for introducing yourself.
